Shinewater Sports and Community Centre is located in the Langney area of Eastbourne and hosts a varied programme of activities and has a range of facilities available.

The main facilities include:
• 3 court sports hall (Badminton, Football, Basketball, Volleyball)
• Large Community Hall (suitable for Children’s’ Parties, Table Tennis, Short Mat Bowls and Martial Arts)
• Gym with a range of Cardio-Vascular and resistance machines, plus free weights and a punch bag
• Studio/Lounge (Dance, Martial Arts, Fitness classes and meetings/training courses etc)
• Meeting room (Training Courses, AGM’s and interviews)

The main activities include:
• 50+ sport (Badminton, Table Tennis and Short Mat Bowls)
• Junior Sports (Football, Gymnastics, Table Tennis, Badminton)
• Martial Arts Classes
• Private hire bookings
• Playscheme
• Children’s Parties

The centre is also home to the local Church on Sunday mornings, hosts local neighbourhood panel meetings and provides sporting facilities for the local school.



Playscheme
During the holidays Shinewater Sports Centre runs a very successful Playscheme for children aged 4-12 years old.

The scheme which has been running for 20 years runs every school holiday from 8.30am–5.30pm. All staff are CRB checked and the scheme is OFSTED registered. Typical activities include a variety of sports, arts and crafts, bouncy castle, Nintendo Wii and Xbox Kinect, pool table and puzzles and board games.

As mentioned previously Shinewater Sports and Community Centre provides a range of recreational opportunities for the local community. These activities include:

50yrs + Sport
Mondays: Table Tennis (PM)
Tuesdays: Badminton (AM)
Wednesdays: Short Mat Bowls (AM) Walking Netball (AM)
Fridays: Badminton (AM), Table Tennis (PM)

Children’s Activities
Our children’s activities offer opportunities for children of all ages, though age limits will change depending on the activity. Contact the centre for more information. Usually no booking is required, but for gymnastics it is better to call the centre to check availability.

Friday Football: 5-10 year olds: 4pm-5pm 11-14 year olds: 5pm-6pm

Shinewater Gymnastics Club - Saturday Mornings:
Over 8’s Class 9am-10.30am
Under 8’s Class 10.30am-12pm



Shinewater Sports and Community Centre is also home to Shining Stars Dance Academy. Shining Stars run a variety of dance sessions for all ages, from toddlers to seniors! Classes include Ballet, tap, Modern, Jazz, plus singing lessons too!
