Britain's biggest international womens tennis event, the International Women's Open, is held every year at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park. Featuring many of the world's top players, the current champion is Agnieszka Radwanska .
The tournament enjoyed its best ever box office year in 2008 with record sales income. Crowds enjoyed a glamorous Ladies Day, shopping, live music and exclusive hospitality. Local school children also took part in new coaching initiative Tennis on the Beach.

Men and Women's Tennis in Eastbourne
Justine Henin and Andy Murray could both play at Devonshire Park next year as the LTA confirm they will merge the women's and men's international grass court events from 2009.

Keen to promote Eastbourne, local artist, George Musgrave, has hung his tennis painting in the window of his personal museum, The Musgrave Collection.
