A Continental Bank Holiday in Eastbourne

Enjoy a taste of France this May Bank Holiday as the Brunomart French and Continental Market returns to Eastbourne seafront from 3-5 May selling speciality foods, leathers and soaps.

Imported directly from top producers across the channel, a wide selection of continental speciality goods will be available to purchase at the market; from Corsican sausages to Dutch pancakes, roasted nuts to homemade biscuits, and Belgian chocolates to fancy leather goods. Plus visitors can revel in the smell of freshly made bread as an authentic French baker makes bread, croissants and patisseries in front of your eyes.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said "The French Market is a really popular event for Eastbourne and works brilliantly alongside Magnificent Motors to really attract visitors into the town over this busy weekend. Held on Eastbourne's picturesque promenade, visitors will love having the opportunity to purchase genuine French goods and live like they're abroad, with the sights, sounds and aromas of France and the continent."

The market is organised by Bruno Girardeau and assisted by Eastbourne Borough Council, and will feature a bumper line up of stalls offering nearly 30 specialities. As well as a tantalising selection of biscuits, cakes and sweets, market goers will also find a vast selection of unique gifts, from natural soaps and pot-pourri to wooden flowers, hand-painted bone china, and soft leather bags.

Held on the middle promenade between the pier and the Bandstand, the market will be open from 9am to 4pm. Offering a delectable selection of stalls; visitors can opt for a continental flavour when they visit Eastbourne this May Bank Holiday.
