Maz Swaps High-Viz Vest for Tiara

30 April 2007

Magnificent Motors steward Maz Vaughan, will be swapping her high-visibility vest for a wedding dress and tiara, as she takes one of the shows star attractions on a detour this Saturday.

The Eastbourne Events regular will be forgoing her annual position at the motoring festival, instead riding in a 1927 Delage limousine, one of the shows star attractions, all the way to the altar on her wedding day!

Maz, who received the award for Best Staff Member at last years Hastings Direct Championships said “I always take time out to work at Magnificent Motors as I love classic cars, however this year had to be a no, as it fell on the same weekend as my wedding day!  Its quite handy though as I could have picked from over 500 vehicles coming down to the show, although in the end it was the Delage for me.”

The car owned by Caffyns, is a favourite with motoring enthusiasts, and despite the planned detour, visitors to the show will still get to see the car both in the seafront cavalcade and on the seafront Western Lawns after the wedding.

Maz added “I normally wear a high-viz vest so it’ll be nice to swap it for something more glamorous.  After the ceremony we’ll be taking a trip along the seafront, so hopefully I’ll get to give my colleagues a wave while they are hard at work!”

Magnificent Motors is a FREE event and runs from 5 – 6 May on Eastbourne seafront with 500 classic and vintage vehicles, children’s entertainment, French market and bandstand concerts.
