Beachy Head Marathon News
One of the top ten marathons in the UK, as voted by Runners World. This scenic route is one of the most challenging and picturesque, running through Sussex villages and along the chalk cliffs of the South Downs. Attracting runners, joggers and walkers from all over the world, this is one of the six biggest marathons in the UK with 1,750 participants. Congratulations to 2007 winner Tim Short who crossed the finish in a record 2:47, and also to first lady Annabelle Stearn in a formidable 3:29!

Four women will travel all the way from New York to compete in their seventh Beachy Head Marathon.

Entries are just about to open for this year's Beachy Head Marathon and entrants are being invited to reserve their place early with the 1,750 places always filling up well before the day itself.

This week the Beachy Head Marathon donates more than £2000 to all the volunteer groups who helped to make the 2007 event such a huge success.
