Thank You for the Music at Bandstand Season Finale
15th September 2008

The Abba Tribute concert is back for one last time in 2008 to end the jam-packed 21-week entertainment programme at Eastbourne Bandstand. The most highly demanded concert of 2007 and looking to build on that success this year, arena tickets have already sold out and Abba and Bandstand fans are being encouraged to book their tickets now to guarantee their seats singing along to the famous Swedish pop group.
Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said "What a fantastic season at Eastbourne Bandstand and there really is no better way to play it out than with an Abba tribute night. With a colourful firework display set to dazzle in the skies after the concert, it is really rewarding to end this year's great concert programme on such a high. The success of the Mamma Mia film this year means that Abba songs are really popular at the moment and it's no wonder tickets are flying out so quickly!"
Audiences can look forward to singing along to all their favourite Abba songs on Friday 26 September, including Waterloo, Dancing Queen and Honey, Honey before watching the skies light up over Eastbourne seafront. With tickets priced at just £6 when bought in advance the concert makes a great evening at the seaside entertainment venue.
The only fully operational Bandstand in the whole country, Eastbourne is unique and with a final set of traditional concerts next Sunday, the venue is versatile for holding any performance, from rock ‘n' roll, through to Big Band military concerts.
Tickets are available now for the Abba season finale, with adults saving £1 off on the door prices and paying £6 and kids just £3.50 when booked in advance from Eastbourne Tourist Information Centre.
